Activities include game viewing and fishing for wild trout in the 15km stretch of the Bushman’s River. Hot ballooning and guided walks to view the original rock art of the ancient Khoisan people in the nearby caves are just some of the activities found on the reserve.

The reserve also has a strong sense of social responsibility and involves the local community in various ways. The Dalton Education Trust, a Zulu Waters initiative, was born in 2008, with a focus on Early Childhood Development in the surrounding communities.
