Known to many as the ‘Marshmallow Cottage’, Greyton Small House is one of very few original cottages in Greyton with the earliest sections built in approximately 1880.
Positioned in Greyton’s sought after Vigne Lane the house has original yellowwood beams, an eclectic style décor, wood burning stoves and a well-equipped kitchen.
The large, beautiful garden boasts lovely mountain views, a sparkling pool and a lush sheltered courtyard. The open loft bedroom also has its own terrace with garden and mountain views.
Currently run as a successful self-catering cottage, Greyton Small House is rated 5 stars on TripAdvisor and is considered a home away from home.
Greyton is a beautiful and quaint town full of history and natural character. Surrounded by the Riviersonderend mountains and farmlands, it offers sublime hiking trails and many other outdoor activities. There are an array of small shops and restaurants, a craft market every Saturday in the village square, and the annual Rose festival in October/November.
“We discovered Greyton Small House via friends and took a chance to book over the long weekend. We could never have imagined what a special gem this property would turn out to be – a now all-time favourite. Immaculately designed with all the amenities you can wish for while on holiday, we loved the large pool and garden and the town has soooo much to experience. Highly recommended and a rare gem – we can’t wait to share the space with our friends on our next visit.” TripAdvisor guest
